Platinum Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of software, asked Elwood to update their current software packaging. The graphics on Platinum's existing packaging highlighted endangered species and communicated the company's interest in the environment. How ever, the packaging itself was not environmentally friendly.

Elwood researched many types of recycled paper to find what would work the best for Platinum. A major challenge was to minimize cracking of the paper when the box was folded. Tests were done on how the grain should run, whether to die-cut on the front or the back of the paper, how thick the sheet should be, and the best way to print the paper.

The result was a totally recyclable package that perfectly accented the environment look of graphics. And, the new recycled packaging is just as cost-effective to produce.

Thrilled with Elwood's results, Platinum has converted all of their packaging to match this exciting new, look.

NutriBiotic, a company dedicated to finding safe chemical solutions, created a new insect repellent called Jungle Juice. Wishing to promote the new brand on a small marketing budget, they turned to Elwood for help.

To display Jungle Juice, NutriBiotic wanted to use a floor stand and counter top display, but was unsure if they could do both within their budget. To help gain efficiencies, Elwood created a common header for both displays.

NutriBiotic used the same artwork and printed the common headers all at once, saving them time and money. In addition, since the header works for both displays, they only need to stock the on item which saves valuable storage space. THe headers were made of B-flute to make them sturdy and durable.

With Elwood's help, the new product launch was cost-effective and a huge success!

EMC Paradigm, a publisher of business aids an teaching material kits, came to Elwood for assistance in packaging and presenting their Teachers Resource Kits.

In the past, the kits were housed in a 4" ring binder. These large binders made the kits cumbersome for teachers to us and hard to find things. The kits also took a beating from constant use.

Elwood helped them convert to corrugated presentation kits. One uniform package was created for French, German and Spanish to gain efficiencies with on one die. Upon receiving the kit, a corrugated sleeve, which helped hold materials in place, up-sold teachers to a CD-ROM and audio teaching aids. When these materials arrived, the new box conveniently took the place of the sleeve, making one compact package.

The kits use Elwood's Micro Flute® so that they are durable, yet light-weight and attractive. With the help of Elwood's expertise and knowledge, EMC Paradigm has overcome their own packaging challenges.

RockShox, Inc., a manufacturer of high-end bicycle components, always searches for environmentally safe alternatives. RockShox turned to Elwood for an affordable, yet environmentally conscious packaging solution.

RockShox was displaying their company brochures in plastic POP displays containing a printed slip sheet. Elwood set them up with a sturdy, cost-effective corrugated table top display. Versus the plastic displays, corrugated ships flat, stores flat and is friendly to the environment.

RockShox was able to save money in production and printing. In addition, shipping the plastic displays required extra packaging while corrugated displays stand up to the abuse.

All around, corrugated is a more cost-effective solution that matches the company's outdoor, rugged image. RockShox is extremely happy with Elwood's corrugated alternative.
